back from seeing the RSA
so back from the big smoke and going to see lovely design people insaid of the old lady with the corgis. spoke to some immense people and got some really good feedback on the freshly redesigned portfolio. so what started with bowel renching terror ended with a more laid back approach to talking about my work. also with some beer with everyone afterwards in a nice pub. even more also was the fact the second pub we all made it to served brains SA gold (a previously undiscovered luxury but a luxury none the less. A nice mention on a design blog and a true cockney cabbey to take us home. truly a top day.. Today was a long trip home but it's good to be back. so thanks to dan for the awesome place to crash ( the pic of the river is the view from his balcony, to all the people who talked to me at the RSA, the tutors, and the friends for making it an immense trip.

final push
Uni starts again tomorrow (not that easter has really been a huge break one way or another).
The final push to the end begins. 7 weeks to keep it together.
biggest issue right now is finding music to go with all ten animations. Ideas on this subject greatly appreciated.
no really....any suggestions?
thats it just an update, no long winded blog today

Faltown slide comp
good weekend spent hung over and not working. However on sunday we went to the faltown slide comp out on an industrial estate to the west of falmouth. Despite the crappy weather and freezing air temp it was a good laugh and have some good pictures to show for it as well. Also on returning homewards to defrost watched the "art of going sideways" with p to show her the sliding fun. check out http://www.faltownskateboards.com/ to get your knowledge on
Most importantly we went tho in the hail to invent a new sport. SO behold the amazingness that is bonnet sledging. Take one 1970's mgb bonnet. turn it upside down. point down the hill and get a good push off your mates. We did it on wet tarmac and it went well. with wet grass or snow it would be the best sledge ever.

back from the big smoke
this weekend past myself and two of the girly mates headed up nodnol wards to have some graphic type fun. Headed up on the friday and came back on sunday for a rip roaring cavalcade of museums and geekyness. Such sites as the design museum, V&A, a pub on oxford circus, and most of the classic printing district around St. Brides and fleet street were visited. The main purpose of the trip was for a typographic walking tour. Truly the geekyest of all the london tours but a good laugh none the less. Also in a epic show of self control, i managed to avoid buying any art toys, comic books of overpriced design books.
Also seen were;
a band of where's wallies on the tube.
a fiat conquecento bearing pizzas.
what lyns and holly look like at 6 in the morning.
the end of my thumb nearly being removed.
the busiest lunchtime in the V&A ever.
3 films on the new walkman.
a crazy light composer in the designer of the year show, that kept chris and i entertained for a good half an hour.
hester and her feller.
the aforementioned chris.
portobello market.
new yog fruit digestives, not as nice as they look.
lots of stickers.
pints of brains in london of all places.
tube queues.
wren towers.
3 paul smith bunnies.
lots of type.
i might stop there the list could go on a while

getting my shit together
As the third year is over two thirds through and am busy getting my stuff together to put onto my website. One of the steps is to create a blog for quick uploading of work I'm working on without huge website overhauls. Now just fingers crossed it actually works
